SoftWindingLink connects ERP, WMS and MES systems with cutting machines. It sends the orders, shows their lines on the machine and returns the production data to the source system.
- Range of application
- For plants that want to integrate cable cutting orders with their management systems and reduce manual data re-entry.
- Features
-
- Receives orders through SQL tables, CSV/XML/XLSX files, REST/JSON API, TCP with AHP protocol or MQTT with VDA 5050 messages.
- Assigns each line to a specific machine or to any available one, depending on the configuration.
- Writes the preset and the order texts to the PLC and can print Zebra labels using ZPL templates.
- Returns measured meters, cuts, scrap and times through the input channel.
- Records machine and order status, events and daily activity data.
- Shares the SoftWinding MariaDB database; the SoftWinding workstations and the web report query the same orders.
- Includes customer, machine and printer simulators to test the integration without a real PLC.
- Operation
- SoftWindingLink is installed as a Windows service on a server. The operator still performs the start-up and the cut. The Link does not identify the mounted mother reel, does not validate the material with a code reader and does not stop the process due to lack of stock. SoftWinding stock control is optional and is enabled separately.
